Dr. P. Anandan is the elder son of Pulavar A. Pandurangan (Late), a Tamil Teacher. He has done his schooling at Vriddhachalam and Ulundurpet. He studied B.Sc., Physics Degree Course at Thiru Kolanjiappar Govt. Arts College, Vriddhachalam, then affiliated to University of Madras, in the period of 1994-1997. He got M.Sc., Physics from the Department of Physics, Alagappa University, Karaikudi in the year 1999. Immediately after completing M.Sc., he joined B.Ed., degree at Govt. College of Education, Pudukkottai affiliated to Bharathidasan University and completed the same successfully in the year 2000. Then, he joined M.Phil., Degree Course in Loyola College, Chennai a most reputed institution in India and got the degree in the year 2001 from University of Madras. In the year 2011, Anna University, Chennai has awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, for the Research work done by him in the field of Crystal growth and its Characterization. In 2013-2014, he has worked in Research Institute of Electronics, Shizuoka University, Japan as a Post Doctoral Fellow.
Teaching, a noble service, is his passion. He has worked as, Professor of Physics and Head of the Department of Science and Humanities at Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), located at Vandavasi. He had joined there, as Lecturer in Physics in the year 2001. Apart from teaching Physics, he has Co-ordinated University Exams for thirteen years and discharged his duties in various capacities of administration in TCET.
Later, he has joined as Assistant Professor of Physics in Government Arts College, Ariyalur in July 2015. Presently, He is working in Thiru Kolanjiappar Government Arts College, Vriddhachalam from 03-11-2015.
